DKM supports Techiman traditional council

DKM Diamond Microfinance Limited has released Fifteen Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 15,000.00) as its contribution towards the forth coming yam festival for the chiefs and people of Techiman Traditional Area.
Speaking to the press, the manager in charge of DKM Diamond Microfinance Limited, Techiman Branch, Mr. Charles Ofosu Asare who made the presentation on behalf of the company explained that the contributions of traditional leaders towards peace and tranquility in the commercial town cannot be underestimated hence the need for their ancestral belief to be supported and promoted.
He intimated that, one of the principal obligations of DKM Diamond Microfinance is to help uphold culture. “As Africans we need to develop perpetual interest in all cultural related activities. We should also endeavour to sustain our traditions”, he revealed.
Mr. Ofosu echoed that festival is one of the social tools that cannot be undervalued and such commemoration is the “Apor”.
On his part, Mr. Isaac Kwain, a member of the constituted Sponsorship and Media Relations committee commended the management of DKM Diamond Microfinance Limited for the kind gesture and promised that the contribution will be used to handle media coverage and other publicity works.

Mr. Kwain appealed to corporate institutions operating in Techiman Township and neighbouring communities to support the festival either in cash or kind. He emphasized that festive occasion like the “Apor” is one of the reliable ways of settling family/other social related disputes.

Later, the Marketing Manager, DKM Diamond Microfinance Limited, Techiman Branch, Mr. S.Y. Nketiah noted that the company has lined up series of pragmatic measures good enough to strengthen the sociological needs of residents in and around Techiman, the Municipal capital.
He said DKM Diamond Microfinance Limited is fully committed to handle customers’ deposits diligently.
The marketing manager lamented on the rate at which unregistered non-banking institutions are bent on using the corporate and mirror images of DKM Diamond Microfinance Limited to market their products and services, describing it as unwarranted.
This, he further explained that it is strictly against approved regulations by Bank of Ghana and should be totally condemned. However, it is the prerogative of clients to be discerning enough and resist such perpetuated falsehood.
