A leading figure of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Francis Addai-Nimo has lashed out the suspended Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Mr. Adjenim Boateng Adjei as well as other corrupt appointees in the Akufo-Addo government.

“The government take responsibility of all your travelling allowances and your family. Why do you then go to form a consortium as PPA boss to win contracts others are supposed to. It is envy, greed and selfishness”, Hon. Addai Nimo fumed.

“I was also shocked to hear the news about corruption at the National Youth Authority (NYA). I was asking myself the type of contract they were doing”, the former NPP lawmaker for Asante Mampong wondered while speaking to Kumasi FM’s Nana Yaw Mensah Joel in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com

He therefore admonished President Akufo-Addo to crack the whip on appointees who intend to bring the name of the government into disrepute.

“NPP as a party rode on corruption before coming to power so if it is happening in our own government, the President must not sit down but punish those involved”, Hon. Francis Addai-Nimoh admonished President Akufo-Addo.

It would be recalled that in a documentary by Investigative Journalist Manasseh Azuri Awuni titled “Contracts for Sale” the PPA Boss was said to have established his own company under the name Talent Discovery Limited incorporated in June 2017 which has won a number of government contracts through restrictive tendering.

Adjenim Boateng Adjei claims the company engaged in the sale of government contracts belonged to his brother-in-law one Francis Arhin and his wife Mercy Adjei but later indicated that he was a part shareholder creating a case of conflict of interest.
