Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed his devastation at the death of the NPP Constituency Chairman for Nhyiaeso in the Ashanti Region.

MyNewsGh.com reported the death of Chairman Geokad, who was on admission at the University of Ghana Medical Center.

He is said to have died after a short illness.

Reacting to his death, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party said his death had left him devastated.

He recalled the work of the chairman in ensuring the unity and well-being of the political party.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia used the opportunity to assure him of a resounding victory in the 2024 elections as he expected.

"Memories of his work towards the unity and well-being of the Party are still fresh in my mind. I cannot personally thank him enough for the significant role he played towards my election as the Flagbearer of the party. Chairman, we are sorry you had to leave us at this crucial moment, but we are assured that your spirit will forever be with us as we journey to make your dream of winning the 2024 election come true.
