A delegation of chiefs and elders of the Paga Traditional Area have beseeched President Akufo-Addo and his administration to make it a point to deliver to Paga and the Kassena Nankana West District, all the development projects that the late C.K. Tedam was pursuing before he died.

Addressing the President at the Jubilee House on behalf of the delegation, Professor Albert Luguterah, the spokesperson of P.E. Charles Awampaga II, Paramount Chief of Paga Traditional Area indicated that: "Conversion of the Health Center in Paga into a District Hospital to reflect its status as a District, the conversion of the Paga Senior High School into a boarding school to help students from the Eastern and Western areas of the district to accept placement in the school and the construction of link roads from the district center in Paga to aid access to the eastern and western areas of the District, are some of the major projects that their late father could not complete before his death."

"As orphans now and in accordance with the adage that 'when a father dies, other one emerges,' we have the conviction that, Your Excellency, already the father of the nation, will deliver to Paga, and the Kassena Nankana West District, the development projects that the late C.K. Tedam was pursuing," Professor Luguterah said.

Nana Akufo-Addo in his response noted that indeed, C.K. Tedam was a true son of the Upper East Region who had the development of the region at heart. He assured the delegation that all the projects and concerns they had presented to him would receive his urgent consideration and given all the attention it deserves.

The President registered his sincere appreciation to Parliament for passing the Act that has paved the way for the University of Development Studies (UDS) campus in Navrongo to be named after C.K. Tedam.

As custom demands, the delegation presented fresh kola nuts to the President as well as a smock.
