Deputy Health Minister calls for instant punishment for those who don't wear nose mask

The Deputy Minister of Health who doubles as the Member of Parliament for WeIja Gbawe Municipality, Madam Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah, has called for instant punishment to Ghanaians who do not abide by the wearing of nose masks.

Thus, if the whole population will follow the COVID-19 safety protocols set by the Ministry of Health and government, I believe things would have been better than what we see today,’’ she noted.

‘’The Police should arrest and prosecute anyone who is not wearing a nose mask instantly to serve an example to others’’.

She urged Ghanaians to be conscious of their health conditions at all times to maintain high standards of wellness.

The Deputy Minister commended the President Nana Addo for the fight against COVID-19 since the outbreak of the virus.

She said this in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on ‘Pae Mu Ka’ on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7.

Recounting on activities and projects so far, she indicated that she has registered over 200 people under the National Health Insurance Scheme, sponsored 2 people to study in Asia Cuba, trained over 500 men and women into entrepreneur skills.

According to her, she has done a lot in her constituency that she can boast off.

Speaking on the issues on lockdown during the COVID-19, she said even before the COVID-19 outbreak, she started four major chip compound projects to help improve in quality health delivery in Weija Gbawe and its environment.

‘’ I cannot score myself for the work done but I believe the good people who saw and worked with me will testify to it’’ she claimed.
