The Deputy Minister for Regional Re-organization and Development Hon. Martin Adjei Mensah-Korsah has extended his generosity to the Brong Ahafo Regional Secretariat of New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The gesture according to the Minister, is aimed at adequately resourcing the party’s secretariat to function well by consolidating its gains in 2016 elections and capture more seats to retain power in 2020.

According to MyNewsGh.com reporters who covered the event, items donated include; two big l shape office desks, four in one waiting chair, one wall unit cabinet, two swivel office chairs, a water dispenser, one HP desk printer, one HP V197 monitor, one keypad and an HP desktop computer.

The donation was at the request of the Brong Ahafo Regional Chairman of the NPP Thomas Adu Appiah aka Toma who underscored the relevance of working tools to enable the secretariat function effectively.

Mr John Bugri who donated the items on behalf of the Deputy Minister expressed hope that they will be used for the intended purpose reminding them of the need to help consolidate the gains of the party in the region.

Mr Kofi Boateng, Regional Secretary commended the Minister for the gesture and gave him their word that they will work tirelessly to bring about the needed results not only for the Brong Ahafo Region, but the entire country.

In 2016, then-candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo garnered 54.07% with the parliamentary seats moving from 13 to 20 seats as against former President John Dramani Mahama who polled 44.64% and losing 7 out of the 16 seats to 9 parliamentary seats in the Brong Ahafo region.

The rest polled less than 2% of the total valid votes cast in all 29 constituencies.
