Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen has revealed he is happy to have finally signed for PSV and is ready to play a part for his team this season.
The Ghanaian is one of the new faces in the team and he has successfully passed his medical after long discussions and signing a deal.
"After talking with Marcel Brands and my agent I came to the conclusion that PSV suits me. It was totally not the euro. I just want to play football. A good running season, the highest going and nice things to experience. And my feeling is that PSV is the right choice. "
Physically strong player
PSV wanted to get Luckassen because there was a need for defensive reinforcements.
The club sees the young all-rounder is also a physically strong player that regard that meets "international standards".
The only question is with Luckassen position because they are not too sure where he can play.
"I prefer to play center back and in midfield I feel fine. The back position is not my thing. But as it is I am taken as a defender well. I thought about all of Marcel Brands and the trainer said."
