President of Policy Think Tank, IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe believes the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has proven its incompetence in managing mining in the country.

He argues that the NDC, even if they issued more licenses did not experience the level of destruction in water bodies and forest reserves across the country as Ghana is experiencing now.

Franklin Cudjoe was responding to the propaganda that the NPP cannot be the only political party blamed for the illegal mining menace.

Sharing his opinion on social media he said “Granted the previous government even issued more mining licenses, ( still not true though), we didn’t see this level of nationwide poisoning of almost 70% of Ghana’s rivers and marauding of our forests.

Isn’t it obvious therefore by this logic that the previous NDC government managed mining better? And the whole ruling NPP government is dangerously incompetent and complicit in illegal mining and looks on carelessly as our environmental gets wrecked!?
