A video of a prophecy delivered by Prophet Nigel Gaisie, Founder and General Overseer of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, has surfaced on social media following the death of veteran broadcaster Godwin Avenorgbor, affectionately known as "Big Godwin."

The prophecy, which was delivered during a church service on July 26, 2024, foretold the death of a prominent individual associated with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).

In the video, Prophet Gaisie is heard saying, “I have seen that a very prominent person has died at GBC, so tell Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, I am seeing GBC, a very famous person who worked with GBC. Before December 2024...”

This prophecy has gained significant attention in light of Avenorgbor’s passing on Monday, August 19, 2024, just a few weeks after the prophecy was made.

Godwin Avenorgbor, had an illustrious career in journalism and broadcasting, particularly at GBC, where he became a household name.

He served as the Director of Communications for the Melcom Group of Companies, and his contributions to public relations and corporate communications were widely recognized.

Ghana Television, where Avenorgbor made a significant impact, posted a brief statement on their Facebook page, saying, "The ‘Grandmaster’ (Godwin Avenorgbor) bows out.

“May his gentle soul rest in peace."
