Director of Police Training visits police training schools

Winneba, Oct 14, GNA -The Director of Police Training, Assistant Commissioner of Police Kofi Boakye has appealed to police recruits to take their training seriously to enable them acquire the requisite knowledge that would make them perform creditably.

He said it had been the policy of the Police Administration to ensure that it turns out well-trained personnel capable of discharging their duties efficiently to enable the Administration to achieve the objectives of its five-year strategic development plan.

Mr Boakye said this when he visited the Central Regional Police Training School in Winneba as part his tour of Police Training Schools in the country.

He said the tour would enable him acquaint himself with the training, supervision, monitoring and evaluation being given to the recruits under training and appealed to commanders and their staffs at the training schools to work extra hard to enable them produce competent, dedicated and committed personnel.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr Samuel Aseidu Okanta, Officer Commanding the School, said 323 recruits made up of 155 females and 168 males are currently under six-months training in the school.
