Rita Kriba, the Physically challenged woman who was blocked from boarding a Kumasi bound flight says her Lawyers are dragging the airline, Africa World Airlines (AWA), to court over her case.

Although the airline has apologized to the disabled woman, Madam Kriba disclosed on Tuesday that “I think the case has been given to a lawyer so we will take it from there.”

She accused the AWA of discriminating against her on the basis of her condition, hence her civil suit against the airline operator.

Rita Kriba has demanded serious action from government to make the country inclusive for persons living with disability.

“As a citizen of Ghana, we are all human beings. At least we should all be treated equally. If I have my money and I’ll be able to board a plane to wherever I want to go to do quick transaction and come back to wherever I stay, I think I have the right, and I think I deserve that” the victim who’s also a fellow of the Young Africa Leaders Initiative (YALI) told Accra-based Citi FM in an interview.

The victim, runs a non-profit organization, that inspires children with disability.
