The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has posed a crucial question to Ghanaians, urging them to choose between what he described as a “brand new, top-of-the-line president” and a “second-hand, failed president” in the upcoming elections.

Dr. Bawumia, who is currently touring the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency in the Eastern Region, emphasized that voting for the NPP would bring fresh ideas and accountability to Ghana's governance.

During his speech on August 21, Dr. Bawumia positioned himself as the candidate with new, innovative solutions to address the country’s challenges, contrasting his candidacy with that of the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) candidate, John Dramani Mahama, whom he referred to as a “second-hand, failed president.”

“I am not yet a President, so if you vote for me, you will get a brand-new top-of-the-line president, but if you vote for John Dramani Mahama, you get a second-hand failed president,” Dr. Bawumia was quoted by citinewsroom.com.

"Do you want brand new or second-hand? If you want brand new, then vote for Bawumia and Kojo Oppong Nkrumah," he continued by asking the crowd.
