President of Groupe Nduom, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has cautioned Ghanaian youth to avoid using dubious means to make “easy” money as riches and success do not come over night
The business mogul said young people must first of all understand the road map to success, how to get there and know that there may be challenges along the way so “you don’t take shortcuts.”
He stressed that it takes hard work, determination, and a number of years to achieve major successes in life.
He said, “We have young people in our companies and you tell them that someone has spent has spent 10, 20, 40, 50 years to achieved something. You cannot get up one day and say that tomorrow, I want to get everything that those people have.”
Nduom further advised the youth to refrain from bad habits such as stealing from employers, lackadaisical attitude towards work and cheating as nemesis is most likely to catch up with them.
He encouraged that it is important to focus on ones goals and learn to do the right thing because there is a higher being who sees all deeds and awards them accordingly no matter the faith one belongs to.
“…So if you are tempted to deep your hands into somebody’s money and steal, remember there is a higher being. If you attempted to cheat, remember there is a higher being. If you are supposed to be at work but you are hiding somewhere doing something else, remember and those things they catch up with you. So it is important that we let young people know that they must learn to rely on their faith and learn to do the right thing,” Dr. Nduom emphasized.
