Former president John Dramani has chastised media giants Multimedia limited over allegations that he received 8million dollars in the yet to be premiered Anas investigative piece from 6th June 2018.

He took to his Facebook wall to express his disappointment at the media company accusing them of being used as a political propaganda tool.

He said ‘’Over the years people fought & in some cases paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy today. When a supposedly respected media house like Multimedia allows itself to be used for political propaganda, it besmirches our common honour & the sacrifices we’ve made as a people.’’

The reports claimed that an Arabian investor at the centre of the investigative piece, allegedly gave the then-governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) $8 million to support Mr Mahama’s re-election bid.

However, National Organiser of the NDC, Kofi Adams Jumped to Mahama’s defense stating that: “Neither the NDC nor our candidate, John Dramani Mahama, received any amount from an unknown person”.

The statement released on Tuesday, 5 June 2018, also added that: “This lie and many desperate acts over the last few days cannot and will not exonerate President Akufo-Addo from the various acts of wanton corruption and the revelation that Nyantakyi is captured on the said tape making, including asking for various sums of money from people on his behalf”.
