Professor of Linguistics, Kofi Agyekum, has advised political leaders and all Ghanaians not to misbehave during the December 7 elections.
Prof. Kofi Agyekum, popularly called "Opanyin Agyekum," bemoaned the inhumane practices and attitudes of some people who owe allegiance to their political parties.
He asked the citizenry not to follow politicians blindly and cause violence on election day.
He also rebuked politicians who incite their supporters against their opponents, advising them to desist from engaging in "politics of insults."
"The difference between us and animals is conscience. Both are considered as plus animate in linguistics. We are all animals, but we humans have conscience... so, humans shouldn’t behave like animals who have no conscience," he said on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show.
