Franklin Cudjoe, president of the policy think tank Imani Africa, has urged the governing National Democratic Congress not to be distracted.
According to him, they need to focus on retrieving the country’s stolen money from persons in the previous government.
He argues that there is a long list of alleged and some easily provable economic crimes under the previous administration.
“An apology was rendered to Dr. Addison the same day the raid took place. Please let us proceed cautiously. We all want accountability, retrieval, and retribution. There is a tall list of alleged and some easily provable economic crimes under the previous government.
The current government must not distract itself from the goal. It must make little or no mistakes. We need our money, even if it takes 5 to 6 years in some of the cases. God give us life for the week ahead. Good night,” he said in a post on social media.
The current government is investigating persons in the previous administration for some financial crimes.
The Attorney General is expected to brief the media on various ongoing investigations and how they are dealing with the document the ORAL Committee presented.
