The General Overseer of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has advised government appointees under President John Dramani Mahama to refrain from using their positions or appointments for personal vendettas.
Speaking at a gathering of clergymen during a fellowship with President Mahama on Friday, February 28, 2025, the esteemed man of God warned that such behavior could have serious consequences for those involved.
According to him, the mandate entrusted to the president, under whom they are serving, was granted for the making of good decisions that will solely benefit the citizens and not to be used for personal or selfish gains.
“I want to admonish all the ministers that sit in council with the president; don’t be vindictive. Don’t pay evil for evil and don’t seek to settle scores with anybody. Do not use the victory and glory of this president to settle scores with anybody, because there are implications for that.
“When you use power entrusted to you for the benefit of the citizens to settle score and to prove a point, there are serious implications for that,” he cautioned.
President Mahama’s meeting with the clergy was aimed at building and strengthening a strong partnership with religious leaders in the country, as well as engaging them in key national matters.
Notable among the men of God who graced the event are Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah of Royalhouse Chapel International, and Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah among others.
Other government officials, including members of the Council of State, were also present.
