A popular Ghanaian sports journalist and host of Adom TV’s ‘Fire for Fire’ show, Patrick Osei Agyemang, a.k.a Countryman Songo, has hit hard at critics of of the dancehall songstress, Ebony.
The TV host is an ardent supporter of the musician, and has turned on anyone making scathing remarks concerning Ebony’s music and style of clothing.
According to Songo, Ebony is an artiste that should be supported by all, so she can reach the top with her talent, instead of being brought down the remarks about her lifestyle choices.
In a audio obtained by GHpage.com, Songo is heard warning the critics of Ebony to stay clear, else he rains ‘fire’ on them.
Ebony has been heavily criticised in recent days, following her outfit and performance at the 2017 4syte Music Video Awards in Accra. The dancehall artiste known for her ‘bold’ choice in clothing, is facing a barrage of negative commentary from showbiz pundits and the general public.
Recently, the president of the Musicians Union of Ghana, Bice Osei Kufuor remarked that Ebony’s outfits are disrespectful to the Ghanaian culture and needed to be addressed. However, Ebony responded to his comments and lambasted him speaking on her apparent disrespect for culture, while he did the same.
She took to her Facebook wall and wrote: “Ebony reigns dressing is very bad and is not our culture, but 'chopping' of musicians money is very good and I think that is our culture.some Gh musicians are dying of hunger and what is ur union doing about that Mr president? do you really care?”
