Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah, the parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Essikado Ketan constituency in the Western Region, continues her mission to improve the health conditions of the constituents with her latest initiative being free screening for reconstructive plastic surgery patients in the constituency.

Dr. Ayensu Danquah, through her Dr. Grace Foundation, has undertaken a number of initiatives aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of her constituents. The latest move is viewed as a commendable step in ensuring that persons with such conditions enjoy free screening.

The exercise, held on Wednesday, August 28, attracted hundreds of people who underwent the test and prepared themselves for the next phase of their healthcare.

It is believed that the screening process enabled the constituents to save over GHS 5,000 they would have spent on receiving the same treatment at a healthcare facility.

Dr. Ayensu Danquah, a US-trained plastic surgery specialist, has been providing free medical care to the community through her Dr. Grace Foundation since 2011.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to the media expressed gratitude to Dr. Ayensu Danquah for her consistent support, particularly in healthcare. They noted that the cost of these procedures, ranging from GHS 5,000 to GHS 7,000, would have been unaffordable for them.

In an interview, she emphasized her commitment to prioritizing the health needs of her constituents, believing that a healthy population is essential for a thriving community.

"I'm dedicated to ensuring the well-being of the people I aim to serve come December 7, 2024," Dr. Ayensu Danquah stated. "Their health is my utmost priority, which is why I've been organizing these free healthcare initiatives since 2011."
