Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, presidential candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made a heartfelt promise to provide free treatment for children suffering from cancer and sickle cell disease under his government.

He noted that this commitment aims to alleviate the financial burden on parents and ensure these young individuals receive the best possible care.

On Monday, during his engagement with chiefs and residents in the Nhyieaso constituency of the Ashanti Region, Dr. Bawumia emphasised that his government will prioritise the welfare of children with chronic health conditions.

He plans to achieve this by expanding the National Health Insurance Scheme to cover conditions affecting children, thereby easing the financial strain on families.

Dr. Bawumia also highlighted the NPP's comprehensive health policies and urged citizens to vote for the party in the 2024 elections.

He emphasised that the NPP's vision for the health sector aligns with the nation's needs, making them the best option for Ghana's future.

Stephen Amaoh, Member of Parliament for Nhyieaso, echoed Dr. Bawumia's sentiments, encouraging the youth to support the NPP.

He stressed that the NPP is the only party capable of protecting the welfare of young Ghanaians, and urged voters to endorse Dr. Bawumia for a brighter future.
