The National Democratic Congress' Parliamentary Candidate for Essikado-Ketan, Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah, has made a benevolent intervention for the victims of the premix fuel explosion that struck Ngyiresia, a fishing community in Sekondi-Takoradi, on May 18, 2024.

Shortly after the incident, Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah visited the community with her team to donate medical supplies to aid in their treatment.

Dr. Grace Ayensu, a medical doctor, also assisted the medical staff at Effia-Nkwanta Hospital in providing care for the accident victims.

In an interview with Multicdb, Dr. Grace Ayensu explained that the incident occurred not too far from her location, which is why she was able to quickly reach the site and help transport some of the victims to various healthcare centers in Sekondi-Takoradi.

"I had to help because that's my field of expertise. Besides that, I also donated my personal medical consumables and cash to support the victims," Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah stated.

It will be recalled two persons died with eleven others sustaining various degrees of injuries in fuel explosion at Ngyiresia, a fishing community near Sekondi in the Western Region.
