The New Patroitic Party (NPP) has described as ridiculous, comments by a suspended founding member of the NPP, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe that the newly elected Chairman Freddie Blay is an “imposter”.

According to the deputy secretary of the party,Nana Obiri Boahene, Dr. Tamakloe is not recongnised as a member of the NPP.

“Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe is not a paid up member of the NPP”, Obiri Boahene told 3FM Wednesday on News Hour.

Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe had earlier descended heavily on Freddie Blay, saying he and others will not recognize Mr. Blay as the party chairman.

According to him, the election of Freddie Blay poses a threat to the unity of the party.

He alleged the election of Freddie Blay “legitimizes the coup d’etat that was staged against the Afoko administration”.

“If he has any sense of shame, he won’t be talking about the NPP. Allow some of us to watch the Croatia vs England and stop wasting our time on a character like Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe,” he stated.

He claimed Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe is in not trustworthy, noting that he was on the side of the opposition in the run up to the 2016 general elections.

He therefore dared him to do his worst.

“He campaigned with former president Mahama. He can form his party. He is a traitor of the highest order”, he said.

Freddie Blay was elected the Chairman of the NPP in the party’s national delegates conference held at the Koforidua Technical University in Koforidua over the weekend.

The aftermath of the conference has not been without controversy
