The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reports that on September 03, 2024, ADO II Abdul Aziz Annor, a firefighter from the Ministries Fire Station, was seriously injured by a driver and his mate while replenishing their fire truck at La Palm T-Junction.

ADO II Annor sustained a fractured ankle and is receiving treatment at the 37 Military Hospital, with surgery scheduled for next week.

The suspects have been arrested, and court proceedings will continue on September 09, 2024.

The management, in a statement, said it is committed to providing the best care for the injured firefighter and will pursue legal actions to ensure justice.

The GNFS condemned the attack and reminded the public that assaulting firefighters is unlawful and will be met with severe legal consequences.
