Tema, Jan. 4, GNA - A driver formerly staying at Sakumono Estate who used his acquaintance with a seamstress to collect a key to her shop and stole assorted clothes belonging to customers, has been sentenced to 24 months' imprisonment by the Tema circuit court 'B'.
Delali Funu, 24, pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful entry and stealing.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Teye Matey told the court, presided over by Mr Stephen Teye, that on July 7, 2004, the accused went to the junior sister of the seamstress and collected a key to the shop where the clothes were kept.
He said the accused again went to another shop and stole assorted clothes, sewing materials and bolted.
Later investigations led to his arrest and some of the clothes retrieved from him, the court heard.
