A drunk policeman identified as Corporal George Amoah stationed at Nsawam has died under strange circumstance at a popular guest house in Sakyikrom a suburb of Nsawam in the Eastern Region, MyNewsGh.com has confirmed.
The deceased policeman with service number 37977 visited the facility to enjoy with his girlfriend currently at large, but hours later after checking in, he was seen trying to pave his way from the guest house amidst vomiting of clots of blood at the entrance.
He became weak and was rushed to Nsawam Government Hospital for treatment by a taxi driver who was called in by the receptionist of the Guest House to assist transport him but died shortly on admission while being transfused with blood.
The medical practitioner told police that, the deceased had earlier been diagnosed with liver and kidney problems and was advised to abstain from alcoholic drinks but failed to adhere to the medical advice.
Police also visited the guest house and found blood clots almost half of a sink in the bathroom.
Further investigation revealed that, the deceased started vomiting blood, walked to the entrance to get out from the place but fell down due to the quantity of blood vomited.
His body has been conveyed to Police hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
