Hiplife artiste and comedian A-Plus has tasked Ghanaians to put pressure on the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government to end the frequent power outages (dumsor) in the country as soon as possible.
A-Plus, who is a key supporter of President Akufo-Addo and campaigned vigorously for the New Patriotic Party to win political power in the 2016 election, noted that Ghanaians deserve to hear from government when the power outages will be curtailed.
His comment comes on the back of the erratic power situation in the country lately which has left many areas without electricity for several hours.
“All those who believed that Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP could end ‘dumsor’ and so voted for change have every right to demand that it ends as soon as possible. Don't give this government breathing space. Demand that they solve it. At least you have to be given a reasonable time when this will end. And like I said it has to be very, very soon,” he posted on Facebook.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Accra West, Eric Asante, has said all things being equal, the frequent power outages in most parts of the capital will cease by the first week of March.
