Dumsor is a profit-making venture for Mahama – Kabila

James Kwabena Bomfeh strongly believes the current administration is cashing in on the power crises in the country.

Claiming that the power crises have become a profit-making venture for President John Mahama and his government, the former national youth organiser for the Convention People's Party (CPP), was categorical in his remarks that the situation won't be resolved under the present administration.

According to him, the more the problem persists, the more money some saboteurs milk out of the situation.

Alluding to the suspicious deal between the Power Minister Dr. Kwabena Donkor and an alleged fraudster named Umar Farooq Zahoor, the one-time Director of Elections for the CPP stressed that the power cuts are a deliberate action by government operatives to enrich themselves.

“You need to provide leadership that will lead us out of this severe crisis. We agree with you that we should not just manage the crisis but we should fix it. But it is taking too long to fix it. It does appear that the length of time that it has taken to fix this problem is deliberate because the government is benefiting and is seeking to benefit from our predicament. It’s so sad," he stated emphatically.

Kwabena Bomfeh, who is popularly known as Kabila, told host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's Kokrokoo that he is without doubt that the Mahama administration wants to make "more money" and so is not ready to resolve the energy crises.

“The dum sor is a profit-making venture for this regime. They have made and they want to make more money (out of it)," he added.
