Dr. Gideon Boako, Economic Advisor and Spokesperson for the Vice President, has assured Ghanaians that the power cuts across the nation will soon be over.
He is highly optimistic that the electricity problems confronting the populace will no longer be present by the end of this month.
"The information I have and from where I sit, I know the power cuts are likely to end by the end of this month," he said on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo".
The Spokesperson for Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, however lamented the irregular power supply to communities across the nation.
Raising concerns over the electricity providers', primarily the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), refusal to provide electricity users with a timetable to guide them in their day-to-day activities, Dr. Boako found it very disturbing how the ECG is treating Ghanaians.
To him, there should be adequate information for the citizenry to avoid destruction of their commodities and waste of money, as he bewailed the plight of Ghanaians as a result of the irregular electricity supply.
"Ghanaians need concise, explicit communication," he insisted, adding, "we should be able to tell people that this is the problem and by this time, by this date, the problem will be solved."
