The much-awaited #DumsorMustStop vigil to protest the erratic supply of electricity in Ghana has started.

The protest, originally scheduled for May 25, 2024, was postponed to June 8, 2024, after the police filed an injunction to stop it, citing security concerns over the initial venue for the vigil, Revolution Square, which was just a few meters from the seat of the presidency.

GhanaWeb’s team on the ground, which will follow the protesters from the converging point of the protest, the University of Ghana, to the venue for the vigil, Tetteh Quarshie Roundabout, will bring all the updates.

Actress Yvonne Nelson, one of the organizers of the demonstration, and her colleagues Selorm Dzramado, and Henry Akoto are among the demonstrators.
