A leading member of the NDC and former Deputy Chief Executive of MASLOC, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakari, has described as false and malicious, certain publications seeking to associate Archbishop Nicolas Duncan-Williams with certain comments making the rounds on social media.

Reacting to a recent publication, Alhaji Mustapha completely debunked the reports.

He said Archbishop Duncan-Williams has not made those pronouncements, attributing them to what he described as the work of desperate elements within the New Patriotic Party who are bent on stoking religious tensions between Christians and Muslims

Alhaji Mustapha’s position has been corroborated by a disclaimer issued by Yen.com who are alleged to have originated the said report.

Alhaji Mustapha further accused the Bawumia camp of engaging in divisive religious politics, advising them to rather focus on issues that are important to Ghanaians instead of spewing lies against Men of God.

He argued that Archbishop Duncan-Williams has long been a unifying factor and has in times past extolled Muslims for their discipline and commitment to prayer.

He also called on the general public to treat the fake reportage with the contempt it deserves.
