Ghana forward Raphael Dwamena scored on the final day of the Swiss second tier league as FC Zurich thrashed Wohlen FC 3-0 on Saturday.
The 21-year-old thus tallied a remarkable 12 goals in 17 appearances since joining the side from Austria Lusteneau during the January transfer window.
Dwamena started from the bench – introduced in the 53rd minute before going on to score two minutes from time.
His goals proved crucial to FC Zurich as they ran away as Champions of the Swiss Challenge League. They secured the only promotion slot the 10-team Super League after ending the season on 85 points, 12 more than their close challengers.
Raphael Dwamena is among Ghana’s 30-man squad for their June 11 Nations Cup qualifier against Ethiopia. He is expected to arrive in Accra on Sunday and join the Black Stars who leave for Kumasi on Monday morning.
