Dzamesi cut sod for projects in Ketu and Akatsi districts.

Ave-Dakpa (V/R), Feb. 28, GNA- Mr. Samuel Kofi Dzamesi, Volta Regional Minister on Tuesday cut a sod for the commencement of work on a number of projects estimated at 5.6 billion cedis during his visit to the Ketu and Akatsi districts. The projects include a 2.5 billion cedi two-storey girl's dormitory for the Ave-Secondary School at Ave-Dakpa in the Akatsi district and a water project also for the community estimated at 1.6 billion cedis. The Minister also inspected work on a 710-million cedis six-unit classroom block, which is at the lintel level for the Roman Catholic Primary School at Ave-Dakpa. The Minister visited the Ketu Distict and inspected other projects including a six-unit classroom block for the EP primary School at Kave with 716 million cedis support from the GET fund and a borehole project at Zomayi.

Mr. Dzamesi also commissioned electricity projects for the Kpelikope and Agorvi communities estimated at 1.6 billion cedis. His tour took him to Heheme and Ative also in the Ketu District where he presented gifts donated by an American philanthropist and exercise books provided with HPIC funds to pupils of basic schools in the area. Mr. Dzamesi advised the communities to be wary of politicians who peddle lies and had nothing to offer. He asked the people remain resolute behind the NPP government to enable them reap the full benefits of the governments quality administration. 28 Feb 07
