The Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana (EPCG) Meridian Presbytery Men’s Fellowship has inaugurated a Seven-member Advisory Board to serve as executive counselors based on experiences they have acquired in diverse capacities.

The inauguration ceremony was the main highlight of activities marking the three-day annual conference of the Men’s Fellowship held at Good Shepherd E.P Church, Lashibi, near Tema, on the theme, “Care for God’s Creation – The Mission of the Church and Role of Men.”

The appointed Board members are leading stewards in their respective congregations of the EPCG, including retired senior public office holders with high repute and other prominent personalities.

They included COP Dr. John Kudalor (Rtd.), a former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. Prince Kofi Kludjeson, Group Chairman of Celltel Networks, Ghana, Mr. Eli Hini, CEO of MTN Mobile Money in charge of Ghana and Nigeria, Dr. Edem Amengor, a Banking Consultant, Mr. William Sunu, Managing Director of Sundel Services Limited, Mr. Worlanyo Dogbeten, a Director of CADDACON Limited and Mr. Wisdom Attippoe, a Business Executive and Former Facilities Manager of Lincoln Community School.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Prince Kludjeson, underscored the need for members of Christian faith institutions such as the E.P Church congregations to use their experiences and expertise in diverse professional backgrounds to promote development and growth of churches.

He made reference to digitization as an essential area required by the Church to infuse innovative technology in communicating the values, sermons of Christian tenets and moral virtues to a wider audience through available social media channels to complement the use of pulpits and conventional radio and television.

Dr. Kludjeson encouraged Christians not to lose hope with despair in the wake of socio-economic challenges confronting the country and its severe impacts on livelihoods, but to develop faith, hope and trust in the Lord.

He tasked the Men’s Fellowship to engage the youth in the Church to serve as active responsible Christian stewards and agents of developmental actors in caring for God’s creation and promoting the desired growth.

The E.P Church Meridian Presbytery Men’s Fellowship Facilitator, Rev. Ferguson Sena Quarcoo emphasized the need for the Church to demonstrate its loyalty in leading the crusade for the conservation of God’s creation, whilst speaking against irresponsible destruction of environmental ecological features such as the vegetative cover and water bodies.

He described the Men’s Ministry as pivotal in facilitating the attainment of the Church’s growth and development in its ‘Mission’ of caring for God’s creation.
The President of E.P Church Meridian Presbytery Men’s Fellowship, Brother Samuel Akoetey, implored members of the Fellowship to uphold values of teamwork, integrity, diligence and dedication to duty as ambassadors of Christ to support the growth of the men’s group and the Church.

Quoting from the Holy Bible scripture of Ephesians 4: 22 – 25, Brother Akoetey urged his colleague Fellowship members to renounce acts of apathy, corrupt practices and other socio-moral vices that are detrimental to the tenets of their as faithful disciples of Christ.

He said the Fellowship is making steady progress in its evangelism drive to engage a significant number of youth aimed at instituting a well-built, firm and robust membership base.

The event witnessed the presentation of solidarity messages from other Fellowships and various church groupings.
