Koforidua, Sept 14, GNA- The Eastern Regional Disciplinary Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday submitted the report on the inquiry into the passage of a vote of no confidence in the chairman and two other executive members of the Abuakwa South constituency branch of the party to the regional executive of the party at Koforidua.
Receiving the report the Regional Chairman of the party, Mr Yaw Gyekye Amoabeng, thanked the members of the committee for the report and said it would guide the party in handling similar issues in future. He said the regional executive committee of the party would study the report carefully and come out with a position on the recommendations to bring unity to the party in the Abuakwa South Constituency.
The chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, Mr Kwesi Amoako-Atta, said the committee looked at the issues carefully and objectively. The committee was asked to go into a vote of no confidence passed by six executive members of the Abuakwa South Constituency branch of the NPP in their chairman, Kwesi Okyere, the constituency secretary, Yaw Brempong Koranteng and the constituency women organizer, Madam Awo Ntiamoah.
