Veteran Politician and astute member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) E.T Mensah may soon lose his membership of the party if he continues to engage in acts that questions his loyalty to the NDC, Greater Accra Regional Organizer, Anthony Nukpenu has said.

According to him, as it stands now, Hon. E.T Mensah’s loyalty and complete commitment to the NDC advancement for the next election cannot be vouched for adding that it will be better for the for Ningo-Prampram MP to be ostracized.

Mr E.T Mensah has called on the party to apologize to the wife of former President and founder of the party, Jerry John Railings, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.

In an interview with 3FM, E.T Mensah, said: “The story must be told, people cherish what President Rawlings did, especially the former first lady; and we should go and beg the former first lady. It was messy, we should go and beg the former first lady to come back.

He further eulogized the former President and First Lady for turn a blind eye to the provocations from some members of the NDC.

But speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show on Monday, Anthony Nupkanu stated that such a call is misplaced and irrelevant.

He said: “We are a moving train. As we move, some will get down, others will join, and so that call to go and beg somebody to come back is a very negligible call, very irrelevant, and has no bearing on the cause of the NDC.

“As we speak, that person who made the call could be suspended from the party if care is not taken. I’m stressing that person making that call to go and beg whoever to come back, I am telling him that if he does not take care he would be suspended from the party.

“As it stands today, I cannot vouch for his loyalty and complete commitment to the NDC’s advancement for the next elections. If you live today and your loyalty and commitment to the party is questionable, you think we will sit down and look at you?

“NDC is now in opposition. We are in introspective mood looking for a surgeon that will diagnose us in the theatre to go out of the hermorrhagic situation and we are expecting leaders who have led this party in the respective regimes as ministers and members of parliament to be committed to that cause but today, you here them they spewing out making divisive comments that will militate against the unity of the NDC.”
