EC Boss’ neutrality missing – Fmr. EC Chief Director

Mr. Damoah Agyemang Mr. Damoah Agyemang

A former Chief Director of the Electoral Commission (EC), Damoah Agyemang says the current Chairperson of the Commission, Charlotte Osei, ought to come clean to justify her neutrality as she seems to be controlled by unseen hands.

“I’m not sure she’s in firm control of her job – she needs to do more to show her neutrality judging by her past deeds, Mr. Damoah Agyemang told host Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM on Monday.

Commenting on the work of the EC, Damoah Agyemang said her posture as the EC chair leaves much to be desired, insisting that for her to make her opinions public in sensitive issues bordering on the upcoming elections was wrong.

“For instance- I was totally disappointed for her to publicly show her biases on the call for new voters register when she could constituted the Justice Crabbe Committee to look into the matters and solicit views and also advise the commission on it.

“If you have taken the platform to be telling us your views and opinion on the issues, then the impression is that your neutrality is missing, as such you’re only imposing your views on the committee,”
