The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced the receipt of provisional election results from five regions, which have been made available to party agents for verification and certification by the Commission’s Chairperson.
The regions include Oti, Ahafo, Eastern, Central, and Western North, with results from Bono expected to follow shortly.
Ten additional regional results are anticipated to arrive at the National Collation Center, where they will also undergo verification and certification by party agents and the Commission’s leadership.
Over 23 hours after the polls closed, the Commission has called for calm, assuring Ghanaians that the process will reflect the will of the people.
Meanwhile, some parliamentary candidates, party agents, and supporters across the country have urged Electoral Commission officials at various collation centers to expedite the declaration of results to ease mounting tensions.
