The Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, Ben Ephson is predicting a long legal battle over who is to blame for the alleged systemic impropriety at the Electoral Commission.

Speaking on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM, Ephson said he foresees interesting times ahead as there will be strange legal actions across board that will be pitting the Commissioners against each other.

“There will be a lot of lawsuit across each other; I’m sure Sulley will sue, Georgina will also be suing because what comes to mind is if the petition had not come up will Charlotte Osei be making those claims? he questioned.

The rivalry and tension within the commission has thicken following, the EC Boss’s full response to the impeachment petition against her by some staff of the Electoral body.

Madam Charlotte Osei did not mince words in portions of her response as in some cases she directly accused her deputies of plain thievery.

She has alleged that the Deputy Commissioner in-charge of Operations, Amadu Sulley illegally collected some GHS 6 million cedis from political parties purportedly to conduct party primaries.

According to her, these monies were paid on the blind side of the Commission’s Finance Department.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has been served with the said petition for the removal of the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission(EC).

Madam Charlotte Osei has been accused of breaching procurement regulations and disregarding administrative procedures in the management of the Electoral body.

They also charged her with cronyism and witch hunting of pro-NPP staff members.
