A report filed by GhanaWeb in the early hours of Sunday, May 10, to draw the attention of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to a falling cable in Dzorwulu has been swiftly attended to on Sunday night.

The falling wire across a road near the Dzorwulu Junior High School, which was reported to be an electricity cable and a death trap to residents and commuters, happened to be a telephone cable.

An unnamed resident who drew the attention of the ECG to the falling wire also updated GhanaWeb on their swiftness as well as the fact that the wire wasn’t an electricity cable.

“The conductors on the ground are not part of our network, rather they are communication cables (telephone/fibre optic),” the resident forwarded the response of the ECG officials to GhanaWeb with pictures of the men working in the middle of the night.
