ECG to replace obsolete equipment for better services

The Electricity Company of Ghana Ltd (ECG) has served notice that it will soon undertake a number of projects to ensure reliable power supply.

The projects include replacement of obsolete equipment, according to the state power distributor.

A statement dated 22nd April 2020 and signed by the Managing Director of the ECG Mr Kwame Agyeman-Budu said: “ECG will like to assure our cherished customers and the general public that we are putting in place measures to ensure reliable and stable power supply.

“The measures include Intensification of preventive maintenance activities; Correction of identified defects in the power distribution network; Prompt response to customer complaints.”

In undertaking these system improvement works, the company said, some will require local outages to create a safe working environment.

“The Company will, therefore, ensure that affected customers are informed accordingly. We entreat our customers and the general public to report all faults to our customer service center on 0302-611611 or via the Company’s official social media handles (@ecgghofficial).”
