EGYPTIAN MEDICAL EXPERT IN GHANA

An Egyptian Medical Doctor, based in the United States, Dr. Hashimi Iskander, arrived in Accra at the weekend to begin a nine-day visit to the country. Dr. Iskander who was accompanied by his wife, Emera, brought in medication worth 15 thousand dollars. The medication is made up of antibiotics and medicine for the treatment of malaria, high blood pressure, diabetes and cardio related diseases. Speaking to newsmen at the airport, Dr. Iskander said he has been invited by Rev. Robin Bales, of the New Covenant Fellowship in Virginia, U.S.A, and the Apostolic Reformed Church of Ghana. He said as an African, he is conversant with tropical diseases and that a team of Ghanaian nurses will assist him to give free treatment to the sick at the Apostolic Reform Church premises at Nudor, on the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital road. gri
