Officials of Perfect Business Systems, the company which installed the SSNIT OBS software claimed officers of Economic and Organised Crime office (EOCO) have visited their office and took away documents.
The office is located at South La Estates in Accra on the Labadi-Teshie road.
Sources at EOCO say the company has become the centre of attraction following the controversial 72 million dollar software contract with SSNIT.
TV3 is informed documents were demanded by EOCO as part of ongoing investigations into the company.
TV3’s Komla Klutse reports that documents on the deal indicate that the eventual winner of the contract bid produced a tender price of 27,610,792 dollars but that was reviewed to 34, 011,914.21 after the general services manager of SSNIT identified arithmetic errors in the tender of the eventual winner, Perfect Business Systems and Silverlake Consortium.
Perfect Business Systems and Silverlake Consortium was chosen out of 10 companies.
Meanwhile, the board of SSNIT will meet on Wednesday to deliberate on whether or not to retrieve all monies paid to the interdicted IT manager Dr. Caleb Afaglo.
The board is therefore considering retrieving all salaries paid him after it emerged he gained access to the position allegedly with fake certificates.
