The Greater Accra Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anthony Nukpenu has questioned the loyalty of Hon. ET Mensah, former legislator of Ningo Prampram. He was speaking in an interview with Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm.
According to Anthony Nukpenu the former MP may be ousted from the main opposition NDC if he does not purge himself. He explained that he never questioned the decision by the former legislator to contest the regional representation to the Council of State.
He said comments by ET Mensah cannot be personal due to his experience and position within the party.
However, he expressed disgust at the former MP for his description of the maiden State of the Nation Address by President Nana Akufo-Addo as accurate and true reflection of the state since it was in sharp contradiction of the very position of the Minority and General Secretary of the NDC.
He said at this moment, he [ET Mensah] has no individual opinion or position due to his statue in the party. Anything he says has value, weight, and has a cast on party especially it contradicts that of the NDC.
Anthony Nukpenu further decried the description of some young persons in the party as small boys.
He said the party at this needs everyone on board especially in opposition stressing that anyone who say something which is in contradiction with the position of the party is erring in that right and loyalty is becoming questionable.
Comments by the NDC bigwig he lamented is putting the party in bad light and when that occurs, individuals can petition the leadership of the party to deal with such actions.
