Easter has relevance; ignore those doubts - Pastor

Easter is celebrating the resurrection of Christ from the dead Easter is celebrating the resurrection of Christ from the dead

Reverend James Quayeson, of the EastWood Anaba Ministries has rubbished debate that Easter has no relevance.

He argues that, the relevance of Easter reflects the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, whose purpose was to redeem sinners and reconnect them with God.

Speaking to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Reverend Quayeson said, anytime we remember the event that saw the savior die for mankind, we are appreciating his love he exhibited for us.

According to him, it would be proper for us to remember the sacrifice Christ gave the world and remind ourselves each day and the purpose for which he did that.

He said, we should not get to the appoint where people will forget this period.

We should constantly remind ourselves that anyone who does not believe in Christ have no life and cannot inherit the kingdom.

Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the most important Christian festival, and the one celebrated with the greatest joy. The date of Easter changes each year, and several other Christian festivals fix their dates by reference to Easter.

On Good Friday, Jesus Christ was executed by crucifixion. His body was taken down from the cross, and buried in a cave. His tomb was guarded and a heavy stone was put over the entrance to prevent people from stealing his body.
