Easter is a season of hope – Rev Komladzie

Reverend Jonathan Komladzie, the Synod Moderator of the Brong Ahafo Presbytery of the E.P. Church, has described Easter as the celebration of a historic event in the Christian fraternity.

He said, at a time when mankind is engulfed in sin and becoming helpless and hopeless, God in his infinite Love, intervened to sacrifice His beloved son, Jesus Christ to restore man’s sinking image.

Rev Komladzie who spoke with Ghana News Agency in Sunyani on the significance of Easter said the occasion brings hope to all the people of the world both Christians and non-Christians.

He said the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ signified repentance and new life, and urged Ghanaians to put away all negative attitudes and beam with positive outlook and approach to all aspects of national life.

“As a nation, it appears our situation is so gloomy and hopeless, but on the occasion of Easter, let’s not be weighed down by our socio-economic and political challenges, but rather, be revived in our hope in God, for better times to come,” he said.

The Synod Moderator, who is also the Minister in Charge of the E.P. Church, Sunyani, used the occasion to urge Ghanaians to believe in themselves, and collaborate with people in authority to effectively prosecute the country’s developmental agenda.

“Ghana is a great and peaceful nation and highly respected on the African continent and across the world, because of its rich human and natural resources, we must therefore, be grateful to God and have a more positive and patriotic approach to doing things in order to consolidate our good image on the globe,” he stated.

Rev Komladzie also advised Ghanaians to celebrate the Easter in joy and moderation but with caution.
