EcoCapital holds maiden edition of Wealth Management Masterclass

EcoCapital Investment Management Ltd has held its maiden edition of the EcoCapital Wealth Management Masterclass.

The event, which was held at the Stevens Hotel, Ho in the Volta Region, was welcomed by a broad participation of stakeholders and brought together professionals at various levels at the helm of investment decision-making in some financial organizations across the region.

The wealth management masterclass is aimed at sharing perspectives on Personal Financial Management and Wealth Management Techniques, and exploring various Risk Management Strategies. Discussions revolved around the Ghana’s Economic crisis, outlook and prospects, Financial Independence, Planning for Retirement, Portfolio management and diversification, the Stock markets, among others.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of EcoCapital Investment Management Ltd, Mr. Dela Herman Agbo, shared major personal habits required for the discipline of wealth creation and management. He further emphasized the need for an expert’s approach in investment portfolio management.

In addressing the aftershock of the banking sector cleanup, which has now led to a decline in the investor confidence, Mr. Agbo stressed further that one must learn from the past and develop an attitude towards risk rather than following high rates of return as a sole investment strategy. He mentioned that new reforms and directives issued by the regulator have ensured compliance and is targeted at protecting investors funds.

He also advised the investing public to seek professional advice from Licensed Investment Advisers before anyone engages in any form of investment. Speaking at the event were also, the Senior State Attorney at the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Justice, Ho office, Mr. Andrews Dodzi Adugu, and the General Manager of Node Eight, Mr. Courage Komla Asase.

Among other things, the event was also to create a network between the investing public and the industry stakeholders across the region.
