President-elect John Dramani Mahama has urged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to pray more than they did during the 2024 election campaign.
According to him, given the challenges the country is facing, he and his appointees will need wisdom and strength from God to address these issues.
John Mahama made this plea while addressing party faithful.
“This is the time we need to pray harder than we did during the campaign for God to grant us the strength and wisdom to implement measures that will make Ghana a better place to live. All I will say is that it is finished; God has already done it,” he said.
The President-elect also mentioned that the current government has set him up for failure, but he believes that the Lord he serves will guide him on the right path to make decisions that will lead to success.
“This is because the NPP government has set a trap for us. But we shall not be caught in that trap; we will escape unscathed. The Almighty God, who granted us electoral victory, will see us through the difficulties ahead until we achieve success,” Mahama stated.
