The Member of Parliament of Ketu North Constituency of the Volta Region, Eric Edem Agbana, has taken a proactive step to ensure a smooth and united selection process for the next Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area.

On the morning of Wednesday, January 15, 2025, he hosted the aspirants for the position in his office, fostering a dialogue centered on collaboration, unity, and the shared vision for the municipality’s progress.

During the meeting, Agbana and the aspirants agreed to approach the selection process devoid of acrimony or division.

They also pledged to offer their unwavering support to whoever President John Dramani Mahama nominates for the role.

The Member of Parliament seized the opportunity to outline his ambitious vision for Ketu North, emphasising the critical importance of teamwork and mutual respect.

“Our collective strength lies in unity. When we choose cooperation over division and support one another without undermining each other, there is no limit to what we can achieve,” he stated.

The engagement, which comes ahead of vetting and the official nomination process, reflects Edem Agbana’s commitment to fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity and collective responsibility.

According to a press statement released by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Volta Region secretariat, thirteen (13) individuals have applied to be considered for the position.

Meanwhile, the party at the national level has also set conditions and vetting modalities for the upcoming process in the coming days.
