Education researchers asked to come out with credible reports

The National President of University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), Dr Samuel Aseidu Addo, has appealed to researches in education to come out with credible research that could make impact on teaching and learning in schools.

He said research in education could contribute to the development of the country since education is key to the development of every country.

Dr Addo, who is also the Head of Department of Mathematics at University of Education, Winneba, said this at the launch of a three-day celebration of Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) of UEW branch in Winneba.

Speaking on the role of graduate student in nation building, Dr Aseidu Addo said education systems throughout the world were undergoing several changes and innovations.

He said Ghana’s education system had been saddled with problems because of the success it had achieved in expanding enrollments and expenditures over the past decade.

Dr Addo said the constant changes and innovations in the educational system, made it a dynamic institution and underscored the need for review of this dynamic nature of education system from time to time to improve it.

He said research had immense value to the development of knowledge, adding that with research, the countless education problems could be solved.**
