Chief of Ejura Divisional Council, Barimah Osei Hwedie II Chief of Ejura Divisional Council, Barimah Osei Hwedie II

The Chief of Ejura Divisional Council in the Ashanti Region, Barimah Osei Hwedie II, has made a passionate appeal to corporate organizations and benevolent individuals to support community watchdog groups in Ejura and its environs.

According to Barimah Osei Hwedie II, security in Ejura will witness a significant improvement if the watchdog committees receive the necessary financial and technical support

This call for support comes after assembly members and watchdog committees in Ejura communities approached the renowned chief for assistance.

In response, the Ejurahene led the Divisional Council to donate 100,000 cedis to the committee.

However, Barimah Osei Hwedie II believes this amount is insufficient to sustain the committee, hence his appeal for additional support.

In an interview with OTEC News Reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng on Sunday, March 23, 2025, Barimah Osei Hwedie II urged individuals willing to donate to the cause to visit the Ejura Palace for further engagement.

He pledged his commitment to ensuring a peaceful environment for accelerated development.

The Ejura Divisional Council's donation of 100,000 cedis is a significant step towards supporting the community watchdog groups.

These groups have been working closely with security agencies, particularly the police, to combat illicit drug dealings and improve security in Ejura and its surroundings.
